Who Is This Guy, Anyway?
I serve as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Muscatine Catholic Community, in
Muscatine ,
Iowa . I am an only child, and I grew up on a farm just outside of
Independence ,
Iowa . My parents are my heroes in many ways, especially for the way they instilled the Catholic faith in me in such subtle yet profound ways, and for the way they always encouraged me to develop my giftedness and do my best, without ever making me feel pressured to succeed. I attended
Luther
College , in
Decorah ,
Iowa , and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Psychology. I received my Certificate in Youth Ministry studies from
St.
Ambrose
University and the Center for Ministry Development. In addition to my ministry in the Muscatine Catholic Community, I have served as Adult Chair of the Davenport Diocese’s Youth Ministry Committee and Secretary of the Leadership Team of the National Association of Catholic Youth Ministry Leaders. Currently I serve as Secretary of the Catholic Board of Education in the Diocese of Davenport. I have published articles in Group Magazine (okay, so it was one paragraph, but it was still a thrill) and the Newsletter of the National Association of Youth Ministry Leaders.
